  • What you’ll need -
  • 1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
  • 60ml cold water (plus 30ml extra if needed)
  • 1 small garlic clove, peeled
  • 1 lemon, juiced then ½ zested
  • 3tbsp tahini
  • 3 generous tbsp cream cheese
  • 2 generous tbsp kraut
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (garnish/optional)


  1. The how to -
  2. 1/ Add chickpeas and cold water to blender and blitz until almost smooth
  3. 2/ Add in the garlic, lemon and tahini to mixture and blend for 5 mins till smooth (if consistency is too think - add your extra water)
  4. 2/ To your hummus, add cream cheese and kraut, pulse blitz till mixed through
  5. Enjoy straight away with crackers, as a salad topper or add it to your next cob loaf mixture
  6. Optional - serve with olive oil drizzled on top, a pinch of sea salt and a dollop of kraut for extra goodness
