Sauerkraut Hummus with Cream Cheese
Ingredients
- What you’ll need -
- 1 can chickpeas, drained & rinsed
- 60ml cold water (plus 30ml extra if needed)
- 1 small garlic clove, peeled
- 1 lemon, juiced then ½ zested
- 3tbsp tahini
- 3 generous tbsp cream cheese
- 2 generous tbsp kraut
- 1 tbsp olive oil (garnish/optional)
Instructions
- The how to -
- 1/ Add chickpeas and cold water to blender and blitz until almost smooth
- 2/ Add in the garlic, lemon and tahini to mixture and blend for 5 mins till smooth (if consistency is too think - add your extra water)
- 2/ To your hummus, add cream cheese and kraut, pulse blitz till mixed through
- Enjoy straight away with crackers, as a salad topper or add it to your next cob loaf mixture
- Optional - serve with olive oil drizzled on top, a pinch of sea salt and a dollop of kraut for extra goodness
